Studio Schurer LLC is a disabled-owned fine-arts business by Heather who is autistic. Diagnosed at the age of 4 in the mid 90s, she never let an obstacle slow her down. After tough times she realized that life was too short to put passions on the back burner any longer. In 2015 she began studying and practicing art vigorously. Studio Schurer LLC was officially announced in January 2025.
Expertise
Heather was born in Austin, TX and now resides in San Marcos, TX with a large home studio for her practice. She began working in pencil and ink but soon wanted to explore other mediums. Today, she is adept in oils, acrylic, and watercolor paint.
Approach
With unique, out of the box methods, her artwork is rendered brilliantly. She approaches her work in a meditative sense which inspires true ingenuity, working closely with the medium to understand everything from stroke one to the entire scene.
